TO THE MOMS WHO ARE DREAMING OF MORE: THIS ONE'S FOR YOU
Share
To the mom standing at the kitchen sink, wondering if she missed her moment.
To the one jotting ideas in her Notes app while her toddler naps on her chest.
To the mom scrolling late at night, feeling both inspired and overwhelmed at the same time…
This one’s for you.
You’re not too late.
You’re not too tired (okay, maybe you are, but that’s not the point).
You’re not selfish for wanting something just for you.
And you’re definitely not wrong for dreaming of more.
More creativity.
More impact.
More purpose.
More than the routines and snacks and school drop-offs—though you love those too.
I know that feeling. I’ve been that mom.
When I started Playground Originals, it wasn’t because I had endless free time or an airtight business plan. It was because I had this tug—this stubborn little whisper that said, “You should do this.” And so I did.
Was it messy? Absolutely.
Did I fall? More times than I can count.
Was it slow and scrappy? Oh yes.
Did I do it even though I didn't know what I was doing? 100%
Was it scary? 1000%
Was it worth it? 10000%.
Motherhood doesn’t cancel out your ambition. It reshapes it.
It gives you depth, grit, perspective, and a wild kind of creativity born from necessity.
So if you’re dreaming of starting something—whether it’s a business, a blog, a side hustle, or just a creative outlet—let this be your nudge. You don’t need permission. You don’t need perfect timing. You just need you—right here, right now.
Because your dreams? They’re valid. Even in yoga pants. Even with a sink full of dishes. Even when no one else sees them yet.
Keep going.
Keep dreaming.
The world needs what you’re thinking about building.
And if no one’s said it yet—I'm cheering for you. Always.
